It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Elwood Shoemaker of Lillian, Alabama, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Medford M. Shoemaker and Dorothy D. Shoemaker; and his brother Harold Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Teri Nichols; his sons, Nicholas, Jeffery and Michael; his granddaughters, Kyya and Skyla; his former wife Teri Shoemaker; his close friend Tami Walker; and his siblings, Dennis Shoemaker (Carolyn) of Buchanan, TN and Linda Packer of Effingham, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
