He was predeceased by: his parents, Leamon Phillips and Effine Phillips; and his sisters, Margaret and Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Nix Phillips; his children, Rodney Phillips (Cindy) and Tonya Newton (Austin); his siblings, Kenneth Phillips (Belinda), Ethel Cole (Ronald) and Patricia Thompson; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Clint), Anna, Ansley (Will), Holden (Cassie) and Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Alyvia, Lincoln and Carter. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

Daddy suffered many years with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, but lost his battle secondary to Covid.
