She was predeceased by: her husband Tom Nichols; her son Byron Nichols; her parents, Quinton Grissom and Geneva Grissom; her siblings, Elise Davis, Douglas Grissom, Danny Grissom and Ronnie Grissom; and her brother-in-law John D. Spires, Jr. (Linda).
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Nichols (Diane) and David Nichols (Kathryn); her sisters, Betty Spires, Inez Hanners (Bobby), Irene Phillips (Dennis), Judy Carson (Mark) and Reba Newell (Greg); and her siblings-in-law, Ada Grissom, Pat Minor, Jimmy Lee Davis and Troy Nichols. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
