He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clarence Thigpen and Doyce Ann Michael Dansby; and his son James Dale Thigpen, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Carroll Thigpen; his children, Tony Thigpen of Auburn, AL and Melanie Thigpen Perry (Neal) of Athens, AL; and his sisters, Wanda Gail Holden of Killen, AL and Vicki Darlene Dickerson of Lexington, AL. He is also survived by Grandchildren and (2) Great-grandchildren.
