He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Coleman Cottrell of Lexington; his children, Suzie Cottrell Sanderson (Stuart) of Madison and David Cottrell (Misty) of Carrollton, Georgia; his grandsons, Cole Cottrell and Spencer Sanderson; and his siblings, Royce Cottrell (Sarah) and Phyllis Adams. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
