He was predeceased by: his parents, Wheeler Shirley and Bertha Stanley Shirley; his wife Catherine Freeman Shirley; and his sister Mable Lee Hornsby. He is survived by: his sons, Roy Mark (Vikki Shirley) and Michael Jay (Angela Shirley); his grandchildren, Ashley Kubitz (Conner), Austin Jay Shirley, Mary Jane Burnham, John Burnham, Jeff, Leigh Kilgore and Chris Kilgore; his sister Lola Hatley of Joppa; and his grandmother D. Thompson (Paula Hand) of Union Grove. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren.
