He was predeceased by: his parents, Mason Gatlin and Lella L. Smith Gatlin; his siblings, James Willie Gatlin, Buron Gatlin, Buford Gatlin, Dorothy Tucker, Ruby Hall, Evie Sobeck, Dora Smith, Etora Shindlebarrow and Mary Morgan; and his daughters, Mona Lisa Kirby and Leila Christina Gatlin.
He is survived by: his children, James Mason Gatlin of Eloy, AZ and Theresa Gatlin Waddell of Hartselle, AL.; and his grandchildren, Amanda M. Gatlin, John Morgan Gatlin and Marissa Leann Waddell.
