He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Rouse and Mary Rouse (Johnson); and his siblings, Lawrence Rouse, Ollie Mae Wallace, Nita Vaughn Wallace and Catherine Craig.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Thompson of Lester, AL; his children, Ronald Rouse (Cynthia) of Lester, AL and Penny McElyea of Athens, AL; his brothers, Wayne, Alfred, Billy and Leroy; and his stepchildren, Shaun of Athens, AL and April of Athens, AL.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
