Velma Oliver Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Oliver of Leroy, Alabama, who passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Velma Oliver to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Leroy F. Oliver, Sr.; and her parents, Jessie Jones and Effie Jones. She is survived by: her children, Frank Oliver (Sondra) and Janie Leach (Larry); her grandchildren, Lisa Merkel (Dave), David Leach (Lori), Tripp Oliver (Sarah), Laura Zborowski (Adam) and Caitlin McBryde (Phillip); and her great grandchildren, Duncan Oliver, Bowie Hoffman, Jack Oliver, River Oliver, Colin Oliver, Charlie Zborowski, Emily Zborowski, Elouise McBryde, Baby McBryde, Zachary Merkel and Lila Merkel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Masks and social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
