He was predeceased by: his parents, Adon Jack (Louise Parnell Howard) and Margie Thomas Howard; his son Adon Dean Howard; and his siblings, AJ Howard, Curtis Howard, Lloyd Howard, Davis Howard, Donald Berry, Barbara Parnell and Karen Jesse.

He is survived by: his siblings, Gloria Jean Glass, Emily Beech, Naomi Howard and Terry Howard; his wife Sybil Ruth Henderson; his children, Marcia Blankenship (Brian), Chelsea Bailey, Brenda Goldman (Oliver) and Scott Thomas (Diane); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Chad, Justin, Lacey, Andie, Alex and Katie.
