It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Alford of Lenox, Alabama, who passed away on May 24, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Alford; her parents, Clarence Eugene McDonald and Gladys Lowery McDonald; her grandson Justin Wilson; and her siblings, Bonnie McDonald, Nadine Ryals and Billy McDonald.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Odom, Jr. (Tommy) of Castleberry, AL, Kay Lancaster Slay (Deron) of Saraland, AL, Wanda Wilson (late Tim) of Brenham, TX, Sharon Ann Joyner of Brighton, CO, Darrell Alford (Cindy) of Georgetown, AL, Gerald Alford (Phyllis) of Satsuma, AL, Paul Alford of Georgetown, AL and Jimmy Alford (Judy) of Georgetown, AL. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
