She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hampton and Velma Bennett Hampton; her sons, Bobby Cheatom and James Cheatom; her siblings, Lizzie Mae Ricks, Mildred McCoy, Mattie Hampton and James Emmanuel King; her grandson Clearence W. Perkins, Jr. (Perk); and her stepsiblings, Louise King, Levert King, Ora Qualls and Richard King.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas King of Town Creek, AL, Donnie Cheatom (Freda) of Leighton, AL, Walter Doss (Daisy) of Tuscumbia, AL, Mattie Perkins of Leighton, AL, Romelia Ford of Leighton, AL, Phyllis Carter of Leighton, AL, Etta Cheatom of Leighton, AL and Sarah Cheatom of Leighton, AL; her niece Regina Shanes; and her nephew Robert Ricks. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren.
