With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sara Virginia Howard of Leighton, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Young Norton and Elizabeth Fry; and her brother Elbert Norton. She is survived by: her husband Cecil Howard; her daughters, Billie Ruth Trousdale (Robbie) and Christina Adams (Terry); her sisters, Mary Summers (Johnnie), Anna Broadfoot (Buck) and Frances Pettus; her grandchildren, Ashton Bond (Cody), Chance Scoggins, Ryan Adams and Heather Adams (Hunter); and her great grandchildren, Hunter Bond, Hadlee Clayre Bond and HagenKate Bond.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Colbert Memorial Chapel (700 US-43, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
