We bid farewell to Mike Simmons of Leighton, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 6, 2024 at the age of 72. Mike touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Simmons and Mildred Simmons; his grandparents, Grady, Lillie Simmons, Bruce and Hazel McGregor; his sister Pat Simmons; his mother-in-law Marie Bailey; and his sister-in-law Bev Bullough.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Bailey Simmons of Leighton, AL; his children, Brad Simmons (Jamie) and Kelly Horner (Quinton); his grandchildren, Corinne, Riley, Jonathan Simmons and Felix Horner; his brother Keith Simmons; his father-in-law Eddy Bailey; his brothers-in-law, Roger Bullough and Chris Bailey (Cindy); his nephews, Chase Bailey, Drew, Alex Bullough, Chandler (Sara Grace) and Ramsey Simmons; his niece Pam Scheske; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Stella, Betty Simmons, Noah and Jude Scheske.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Colbert Memorial Chapel (700 US-43, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alabama Baptist Children's Home or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
