We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2023, at the age of 77, Betty Joyce Sockwell of Leighton, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis Ray Sockwell; her parents, D. McGregor, Jr. Jackson and Louise Jackson (Ruby); and her brothers-in-law, Wayne Peebles and Kenneth Sockwell.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Sockwell, Mike Sockwell (Linda) and Allison Campbell (Randy); her sisters, Barbara Peebles and Gwen Myers (David); her sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Sockwell and Jerri Sockwell (Robert); her grandchildren, Alexander Sockwell (Alex), Tate Sockwell (Caroline Bishop), Jordan Fretwell and Austin Fretwell; her great grandchildren, Jaxton Sockwell and Jett Sockwell; and her friends, Tony, Renee South, Ryan and Ashley Keenum. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hatton Baptist Church.
