She was predeceased by: her mother Grace Campbell Dawson; her sisters, Kathy Dawson Goodloe, Rose Scoggin, Betty Fleming and Mary Gayle Dawson; her daughter Bonnie Carey Massengill; and her granddaughter Crystal Carey.
She is survived by: her son William Carey; her siblings, Billy Dawson, Joey Dawson (Shelley), Joyce Ayers (Jerry), Louise Holt, Angela Vandiver (Philip) and Melanie Thompson (Brian); her grandchildren, Summer Grace Massengill, Justin Carey (Melissa) and Jessica Key (Daemon); and her great grandchildren, Bryant, Ava, Aubree, Liam, Bella Rose, Jaelyn Honey, Novalee, Jackson and Sophia.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Colbert Memorial Chapel (700 US-43, Tuscumbia, AL 35674).
