He was predeceased by: his son Jack Wellingham; his brothers, Jim Wellingham and Sam Wellingham; and his parents, James Wellingham and Wanda Wellingham.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Wellingham; his stepchildren, Tony O'Neal (Holly) and Sherry Abernathy (Allen); his sister Dee Barclay (Jackie); his grandchildren, Eric Abernathy (Emily), Corey Abernathy (Amber), Kyle Abernathy (Olivia), Valerie O'Neal and Breana O'Neal (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Jace, Carlee, Kali Ryan, Ashton, Eva and Eli; and his caregivers, Victoria Bonifer and Amy Baker.
