He was predeceased by: his mother Flora Keener Sr.; and his siblings, Jerry Kenner, Danny Vaughn, Betty Jo Woods and Ruby Stallings.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Keener; his daughter Lori Battles (Mark); his siblings, Larry Keener, Terry Mack Keener and Joyce Barrett; his grandchildren, Dru Handy, Daxter Handy (Sarah) and Anna Cate Whaley; and his great grandchildren, LJ Handy and Hadley Ray Morris. He is also survived by several Nieces and nephews.

The family request no flowers and donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
