With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Wood of Leesburg, Alabama, born in Cherokee, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Wood; his stepgrandson Cody Johnson; and his parents, Roy Wood and Mildred Pearson. He is survived by: his son Randy Wood (Shannon); and his stepgrandchildren, Sanea Bennich and Drake Bennich.
The family requests no flowers and in lieu of, donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
