With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Gramling Hood of Leesburg, Alabama, born in Cherokee, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sarah Allen and Ernest Hood; and his parents, Horace Hood and Jewel Hood. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Duncan Hood; his daughters, Robin Cunningham (Chuck) and Rhonda Grimes (Chuck); his grandchildren, Scott Hester, Halie Grimes and Matthew Grimes; his great grandchild Jaxon Hester; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Duncan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sand Rock Cemetery.
The family request no flowers and donations be made to Sand Rock Fire Department, Sand Rock Methodist Church or Sand Rock Baptist Church.
