He is survived by: his wife Linda Abernathy; his children, Melissa Parris (Cary) and Chris Abernathy; his grandchildren, Nolan, Taylor, Camryn Parris and Alexa Abernathy; and his siblings, Billy Wayne, Gary Dale (Gina), Allen Ray (Sherry) and Martha Jean Barnes (Ronny).
A reception was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Perry Funeral Home (1611 Clarence E Chesnut Jr Bypass, Centre, AL 35960).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a Food Bank.
