He was predeceased by: his son Barry Ray Mackey; and his parents, Artie Mackey and Eva Tolbert Mackey. He is survived by: his wife Terry Rhinehart Mackey; his children, Mark Mackey (Jennifer) and Traci Whestine (Bob); his sister Marcia Wadsworth (Pat); his grandchildren, Lance Whestine, Amy Mackey Carenza (Sam), Seth A. Mackey, Emily Mackey Clausen (Race), Garyn Sharpe and Hope Mackey; his great grandchildren, Luca Carenza and Ayla Carenza; his close friends, Jerrell and Debbie Brady; and his pet Pretty Boy. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
