He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pody Harkins; his son David Harkins; his grandchildren, Jordan Harkins (Alexis), Aleah Harkins and Jonathan Harkins (Emma); his great grandchildren, Eevee Griffin, Bentley Engstrom, Annabelle Harkins and Aiden Harkins; his sister Brenda Saxon (Bobby); his sister-in-law Deneise Pody; and his pet Ranger Jo Harkins.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
