He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Hawkins Johnson; his parents, Virgil Johnson and Lucy Johnson; his son Dennis Johnson; his siblings, Katherine Johnson, Lucille Daniels, Inita Locke, Jean Johnson, Jane Johnson, R. B. Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Gerald Johnson and Freddie Johnson; and his great grandchild Nora Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Duncan (Charles) and Stephen Johnson (Donna); his daughter-in-law Vickie Johnson; his brothers, Johnny (Linda) and Michael (Barbara); his grandchildren, Leslie Stephenson (Chris), Matt Duncan, Whitney Collins (Rusty), Alex Johnson (Rachel) and Todd Johnson (Amber); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Stephenson, Clayton Stephenson, Amelia Duncan, Nolan Collins, Molly Collins, Ava Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Sam Johnson and Henry Johnson.
