He was predeceased by: his brother William Edwin Veasey; his sister-in-law Edna Veasey Yarborough; and his son-in-law Charles "Chuck" Bruce Little. He is survived by: his significant other Loretta Farmer Veasey; his children, Dwight Alan Veasey of Quinton, AL, Margie Veasey Little of Leeds and Jo Alice Driggers (Ronnie) of Trussville, AL; his grandchildren, Carolyn Little Stern, John Charles Little of Nashville, TN, William Tyler Driggers (Haylie) of Birmingham, Ronald Blake Driggers of Huntsville, AL and Christopher Driggers (Kristin) of Alabaster, AL; his nephew John Wesley Veasey (Nancy) of Middleburg, FL; and his niece Linda Veasey Patterson (Bob) of Marianna, FL. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 safety concerns, a private service will be held for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rex's memory to the Coins of Compassion ministry at the First Baptist Church of Leeds.
