He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Sheets and Elsa Sheets (Turner); his children, Jonathan (Sharon) and Elizabeth (Justin); his wife Tricia; his brother Wayne; and his granddaughter Emma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of his mother Elsa.
