With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lou Goodson of Leeds, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on September 18, 2022 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Lou Goodson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Lee Goodson; her sister Judy Dickinson; and her parents, Pearl Mitchell and Ira Mitchell. She is survived by: her brother John Mitchell; her sons, Steve Goodson (Sharon), Lee Goodson (Anna) and David Goodson (Lindsay); her grandchildren, Brian Goodson (Rachel), Zachary Goodson, Tonya Crutchfield, Julie Watters (Eric) and Rachel Jones (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Lea Elliott (Shane), Sarah Crutchfield, Church Watters, Mazzy Watters, Henry Goodson, John Thomas Goodson, Hayes Goodson, Graham Goodson, Will Jones and Audrey Jones; and her great great grandchildren, Zayne Elliott and Ava Elliott. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Goodson requested that donations be sent to the Leeds First United Methodist Church.
