He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Walker; and his grandson Matt Tice. He is survived by: his wife Edna Pool; his children, Kathy Dutton (Johnny), Lisa Tice (David) and Brad Pool (Beth); and his grandchildren, Brad Dutton, Brooke Kendrick, Kari Como, Kevin Butts, Josh Tice and Kayla Ashley.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Leeds First United Methodist Church.
