With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Johnie Glenn Sloan (Leeds, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Johnie Glenn may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Johnie Glenn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his sons, Michael Sloan and Matthew Drinkard. He is survived by: his wife Debra "Deb" Sloan; his daughters, Cassie Sloan White and Michelle McElroy; and his grandchildren, Jacob Creel (Jessica), Justin Ramey, Kara McElroy and Emma Drinkard. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
