He was predeceased by: his daughter Carla Cook; and his brother Kennie Davis, Jr.. He is survived by: his grandmother Helen C. Ervin; his wife Tina Hubbard Ervin; his sons, James Ervin (Barbie), Chris Ervin (Nikka) and Marvin Campbell (Tasha); his stepson Altonio Warren (Kimberly); his daughter Cassandra Matthews; his stepdaughters, Malika Warren and Jasmine Rivas (Angel); his sibling Helen Harris Jackson (Fernando); and his aunts, Mary Ervin and Lula Mae Scott. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
