He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Franklin and J. D. Franklin; and his sister Star Franklin Cox. He is survived by: his brothers, Jerry Wayne Franklin (Susan) of Moody, AL and Don Tallie of Trussville, AL; and his nieces and nephews, John Wayne Franklin, Barbie Tallie, Mary Olivia Chew, Grayson Chew IV and Brittany Emerson.
