He is survived by: his wife Mildred Staggs Adair; his children, Julia Carter (Rodney), Cindy Harden (Chuck), Jimmy Adair (Tina) and Jennifer Gillespie (Brett); and his siblings, Joe Adair, Janice Franklin, Sue Hollis and Cathy Sanders. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
