She was predeceased by: her husband Terry Janis. She is survived by: her parents, Jack Cox and Carmelita Adkins; her children, Ashley Ryan (Marcus), Stephen Glaze, Antonio Garza (Toni), Kristinia Sanchez and Shawn Sanchez; her stepdaughter Michelle Janis (Atari); her grandchildren, Zayden, Rayven, Khylan, Mason and Maelyn; her siblings, Shawn Cox (Brandy) and Kimberly Cox; and her nieces and nephews, Whitney Thornton (Joseph), Rory Cox, Jacob Thornton and Graham Cox.

Viewing was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Harpersville Methodist Church (38937 AL-25, Harpersville, AL 35078). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
