He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Lindsey and Nancy Lindsey; and his sisters, Delphia Clark, Earline Humphres, Ruth Clements and Shirley Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lindsey; his daughters, Dr. Pam Key, Rachel Meads (Joe) and Nancy Howell (Todd); and his grandchildren, Jon Meads (Claire), Lindsey Patterson (Micah), Emily Howell and Timothy Howell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
