George Lee Hackney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 91, George Lee Hackney (Leeds, Alabama), born in Springfield, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Hackney. He is survived by: his children, William Scott Hackney (Nancy), Cathy Klinner and Deanne Lee Dickerson (Dudley); his grandchildren, Corey Phillips, Travis Klinner, Shannon Klinner, William Nathan Hackney, Dudley Robertson and Andrew Lee Dickerson; and his great grandchildren, Danica, Ana, Benson Phillips, Claire, Audrey Hackney and Elijah Alexander Robertson. He is also survived by his wife, parents and siblings.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St Francis Xavier Church (2 Xavier Cir, Birmingham, AL 35213). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
