He was predeceased by: his parents, Verbon Posey and Frances Posey; and his sister Thelma Posey Blackwood. He is survived by: his wife Irene Walker Posey; his children, Clyde James "Jimmy" Posey, II (Catherine) and Debbie Posey Watkins (Andy); and his brother Ronald Posey (Mary Ann).
