He was predeceased by: his mother Sadie Minick Franklin (Betty Franklin); his wife Elizabeth Starnes; and his great grandchild Logan Williams. He is survived by: his children, Charles Franklin (Starr), Diane Williamson (Larry) and Pamela Knight (Donnie); and his daughter-in-law Freida Dean (William). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
