He was predeceased by: his brother Johnny Ray Helms; his stepfather William Lynn; and his father-in-law John Harvey Lovelady. He is survived by: his wife Traci Helms; his children, Deanna Jordan (Dan Jordan), Phillip Hathcock and Whitney Helms; his mother-in-law Charlotte Lovelady; his grandchildren, Presley Moody, Noah Jordan, Rosemary Jordan, Adyson Hathcock and Kynleigh Deliz; his parents, Johnny Helms and Sue Lynn; his sister Joyce Hayes (Ronnie Hayes); his siblings-in-law, Allen Lovelady (Shannon Lovelady) and Staci Merrifield (Johnny Merrifield); and his nieces and nephews, Destiny Sherrell, Erica Harbin (Dustin Harbin), DeeDee Rutledge, Morgan Lovelady, Josh Lovelady (Erica Lovelady) and Mackenzie Merrifield.
