She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Benjamin Jones and Lillie Jones; her brothers, Deacon, Mack and Dennis; her husband Ivan Charles Dowdey; her sons, Dr. Benjamin Dowdey (Susan) and Frank Dowdey (Veronica); and her grandchildren, Brandi Watson (Christian), David Letson (Dana), Leah Harrigan (Chris), Frank Dowdey II (Eric) and Amy Dowdey (John Robbins).

Due to Covid-19, the family will hold a private graveside service.
