He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Ruth Smith; and his parents, Nathaniel Smith and Louise Smith. He is survived by: his grandsons, Christopher Lee Newell (Amber), Brian Robert Newell (Laura), Trent Smith Newell (Kelley) and Michael Craig Smith (Wendy). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
