She was predeceased by: her children, Gilbert E. Loftin Jr. and Sharon Loftin McGough; and her parents, E. L. Rainwater and Maurine Brooks Rainwater. She is survived by: her husband Haywood Cowles; her son T. H. Cowles Jr.; her son-in-law Lonnie McGough; her grandchildren, Neal McGough (Amanda) and Anna Grace Cowles (Jonathon Jones); her great grandchild Jack Farmer; her brother Erbie Lee Rainwater Jr. (Nina); and her friends, Eileen Bennett, Wiloneese Lowe and Mildred Register. She is also survived by cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the BIG House (1809 Old Meriwether Trail, Lapine, AL 36046). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Berea Cemetery (1989 Old Meriwether Trail, Lapine, AL 36046).
