He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Askew, and Thomas Heflin Askew, Sr.; and his sisters, Connie Shelnutt and Joan Tingle. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Hester Askew; his children, Thomas H. Askew, III (Shelby) and Brandi Askew Quinton; and his sisters, Barbara Rains (Bob) and Vicky Walden (Lamar). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
