It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Howard of Lanett, Alabama, born in Tibbie, Alabama, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Iron Patrick and Irma Gilley Patrick; her husband Jesse G. Howard, Jr.; and her brother D. W. Patrick. She is survived by: her sons, J. Gray Howard, III (Nancy H.), Kenneth P. Howard (Kelli J.) and Valley; her grandchildren, Jess Howard, IV (Emily), Zachary Howard (Carma), Jordan Newman (T. J.) and Holly Elliott (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Connor Howard, Caleb Howard, Scarlett Newman and Ava Newman; her siblings, Maude Taylor, George Patrick, Sadie Burgin and Peggy Brewer (Larry); and her siblings-in-law, Annette Howard and Wayne Farmer. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Due to the social gathering restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required at the visitation and service.
Flowers will be accepted or the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Lanett First Baptist Church, 701 South 6th Street, Lanett, Alabama 36863.
