He is survived by: his wife Neketia "Nina" Winston; his children, Tracy Finley (Willie), Jackie Billingsley (Mark), Roosevelt, Jr. Sherrell (Beryle), Stephanie Russell, Chasity Gray, Anthony Chinn (Ciara), Alfonso Gilliam (Tan), Nicole Auld (Rohan), Sada Brooks (Markale) and Baracaus "Rock" Brooks (Mary); his siblings, Elizabeth Avery, Cinderella Floyd (Nelson), Priscilla Avery, Arthur Avery, Gene Avery (Jackie), William Avery (Kathy), Jerald Avery and Eric Woody (Belinda); his mother-in-law Alma; his brother-in-law Eric Brooks; his daughter-in-law Yolanda Parker Sherrell; and his close friends, Riley Reese, Bernard Queen, Robert Bonner and Tubby Palmer. He is also survived by forty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
