With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mavis Cummings Cotney of Lanett, Alabama, born in Manchester, Georgia, who passed away on June 11, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jane Hall Cummings and Thomas L. Cummings; her husband O. D. Cotney; and her children, Cathy Jane Cotney and Randy Cotney.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Cotney (Deborah) of Valley, Alabama. She is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Lanett Church of the Nazarene or to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
