She is survived by: her children, Anquanette Carlisle (Norman) of Lanett, AL and Melissa Callaway of Valley, AL; her siblings, Lenard James (Minnie) of Birmingham, AL, David James (Tina) of LaFayette, AL, Randy James of LaFayette, AL, Gary James (Princess) of Birmingham, AL, Ruby Mae Todd of LaFayette, AL, Sherry Porter of Lanett, AL, Jackie Avery (Tommy) of West Point, GA, Charlotte Taylor and Loretta Tolbert; her grandchildren, Randall Mackey (Shameka), Shirmiracle Mackey, Ja Ja Davis, Jr., Felissa Willims, Braylon Walton and Cason Callaway; her nephews, Corey Bledsoe (Mary) and Terrance Bledsoe (Monica); her caregivers, Brenda Meadows, Annette Busby, Conswallo McCoy, Jacqueline Carr and Malasha Jennings; and her close friends, Linda Brown, Jackie Ferrell, Ramona Glaze, Katrina Ray, J. Burton, Phyllis Smith, Kathy Avery, Tony, Regina Avery, Danny, Rachel Howell, Sylvia Jones and Amanda Toles. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (11322 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, La Fayette, AL 36862). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery (3405 Country Club Rd, Lanett, AL 36863).
