He was predeceased by: his parents, L. M. Cotney and Lucille Cotney; and his brother Steve Cotney. He is survived by: his sons, Robbie of Valley, Alabama., Brandon (Hannah) of Valley, Alabama., Logan (Sage) of Valley, Alabama. and Noah Cotney of Valley, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Madison, Blakely, Riley, Reagan and Lijah Cotney; and his sister Peggy Thrower (Leonard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
