She is survived by: her husband Herman Simpson of Atlanta, Georgia; her children, Terrion Simpson and Brandon Simpson of Atlanta, Georgia; her granddaughter Briya C. Simpson of Atlanta, Georgia; her siblings, Benny Askew (late Bernice) of Lanett, Jimmy Askew of Lanett, Bobby Askew (Jennifer) of Atlanta, Georgia, Lizzie Williams (late Preston) of Atlanta, Cynthia Palm (Dale) of Baltimore and Helen Thomas of Salem, Alabama; and her siblings-in-law, Rosella Calloway (Larry) of Washington, Mildred Simpson of Atlanta, Georgia and James Simpson of Grovetown, Georgia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the M. W. Lee Mortuary (P. O. Box 27-1304 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA 31833). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church (1516 44th Ave SW, Lanett, AL 36863).
