With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Thomas Carter of Lanett, Alabama, born in Woodland, Alabama, who passed away on September 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carter and Winnie Carter; and his brother Danny Carter. He is survived by: his wife Linda Carter; his children, Vicki Still, Chris Carter, Shane Carter and Lance Carter (Amber); his grandchildren, Ashley Carter, AJ Carter, Justin Still, Josh Still, Lacey Downey, Jake Carter, Jared Carter and Shane Carter Jr.; his great grandchildren, Braden Still, Brason Still, Braxton Still, Jeremiah Carter, Kristalyn Carter, Brady Smith, Trip Carter, Bradley Welch and Chancelor Carter; his aunt Chella Laney; and his cousin Jim Laney.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lanier Baptist Church (3295 Co Rd 289, Lanett, AL 36863). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Lanier Baptist church.
