It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob T. Meigs of Lanett, Alabama, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, E. L., Lorene McClanahan and H. T. Meigs. He is survived by: his wife Tracey Meigs; his children, Joshua Meigs (Railey), Brooklynn Meigs, Brett Jones and J. A. Meigs; his grandson Easton Meigs; his parents, Kenneth T. Meigs and Sharon McClanahan Meigs; his brothers, Jonathan Meigs (Laura), Darrin Meigs and Adam Meigs; his parents-in-law, Casey, Debbie Kelley, Rick and Donna Sims; and his siblings-in-law, Jessica Overby (Kenny) and Heath Abney.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the Alabama Sherrif's Girls Ranch.
